Happenings Marion PTA meeting is January 15 at 3:45 in the Elementary Cafeteria. Members and friends of the United Church will help the Wayne County Nursing Home celebrate birthdays by purchasing small gifts and serving refreshments at a party in their honor on Thursday, January 29 at 6:30 p.m. A chicken and biscuit dinner is scheduled at the United Church for Monday, January 26. St. Gregory Pasta Supper is scheduled for January 17, with seatings at 4:30 and 6. Indulge your appetite with pasta and homemade meat balls, salad, bread, relishes, topped off with their famous homemade desserts. Tickets are $6 and $3, under age four are free. Tickets at the parish office or call Rose at 926.5798 to make reservations. January 2, 1936: In the hope of organizing a Recreation Club, there will be a meeting on Monday evening. Volleyball will be played from 7 to 8 p.m. and shuffle board and table tennis will follow. Keep the date of February 14 open for a special dinner at the Downtown Cafe. Shirley Murphy is out and about following recent surgery. Doris Coisman is recuperating after her surgery. 'Why be normal when you can be yourself ?' Pat Allen is home after a stay at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Bea Schultz has returned home after a corneal transplant. Marion Museum openings
