Reformed Church announces name change

Arcadia Reformed Church, located at 5694 Woodlane (Newark) has changed its name to Woodlane Community Church. This action came at a recent Congregational Meeting and was approved unanimously, with many members standing to speak in favor of this action.

'The reason for the name change to Woodlane Community can be found in the name itself,' said Pastor Bill Crowder. 'Woodlane Community shares not only our location, but our vision of being involved within the local community itself. While Arcadia spoke about the township, Woodlane shares the street itself.'

Pastor Crowder pointed out that the name 'Woodlane Community' was being added to the Arcadia Reformed name. 'We wanted to be careful that we didn't lose the rich heritage we possess of being in the Reformed tradition. We are and will always be a member of the Reformed Church in America, but our focus is in sharing the Good News of God's eternal love with our community.'

Church services remain the same with Sunday morning worship beginning at 9:45. Children's Sunday School starts at 10:15 and Adult Sunday School at 11:15.
