Help with backyard conservation
You can help by establishing conservation plants in your own backyard. To promote Backyard Conservation, the SWCD makes available a variety of tree seedlings, including hardwoods, evergreens and wildlife shrubs to the public. Available are pre-sorted packets such as a Wildlife Packet, Hardwood Packet, Bird & Butterfly Packet, Flowering Packet and new this year is a Fern Packet. Each packet contains 20 to 25 plants. The SWCD also makes available Wood Duck Nesting Boxes, Bluebird Nesting Boxes and Bat Houses.
