Boater safety class

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office will be conducting boater safety classes which will be held on February 7, February 28, and March 13, from 8 to 4.

Classes will be held at the Sheriff's Office located at 7368 Route 31, Lyons.

Youths ages 10 to 18 years are required to have a boater safety certificate in order to operate a boat. Everyone must have this certification to operate a personal watercraft (JetSki) regardless of age. This certification will only be issued upon successful completion of the boater safety course recognized by the state of New York.
