Snow, snow, beautiful snow! This makes me remember the 'Good Old Days' when we walked to school, no matter what weather. Sometimes the snowbanks were as high as the telephone wires.

'The secret of happiness is not doing what one likes, but in liking what one has to do.' - Sir James Barrio

A new lift is now operating at St. Gregory's Church and thank to the men of St. Gregory's for the generous gift of time and skills they have to make this possible.

The Red Hat Society members were invited to a lovely tea at the new home of Pat VanderMolen in Williamson on Saturday, January 17. The gracious hostess presented an array of delicious treats not to be surpassed.

'My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance.'

Ever Think of This?

There are fancier towns than our little town; there are towns that are bigger than this; and the people who live in the smaller towns don't know what excitement they miss. There are things you see in the wealthier towns that you can't in a town that's small; and yet up and down, there is no other town like our little town after all.

It may be the streets through the town are not long, they're not wide and maybe not straight, but the neighbors you know in your own little town all welcome the fellow - it's great.

In the glittering streets of the glittering town, with its palace and pavement and thrall, in the midst of the throng you will frequently long for your own little town after all.

If you live and you work in our little town, in spite of the fact that it's small, you'll find it a fact that our little town is the best little town after all.

(I like to think this was written with Marion in mind.)
