Happenings Brian and Jill Adriaansen and sons, Craig and Derek, have returned home after spending a week at Disney World in the sunny south. And here we were snowed in! Aren't we lucky to have such pleasant folks now working in our town's Post Office? Reluctantly, the folks at St. Gregory's Catholic Church are saying goodbye and 'Godspeed' to Fr. Bob. Plans for celebrating his tenure with the Cluster include a special liturgy at 3 p.m. on January 31 at St. Anne's in Palmyra followed by a reception in the Hall from 4:30-6 p.m. An adult dinner will be given in Father Bob's honor the same evening at the Garlock House. Jerry Ellsworth spent the long weekend, from his home in Albany, with his mother, Eunice, in honor of her 83rd birthday on January 26. Ken Dykhuizen is recuperating at home following surgery. Bev Layton is presently a hospital resident. JANUARY 30, 1947: Bob Schutt setting the pace, the Marion High Cagers overcame Macedon's two-point advantage at half time, to win 35-32 in a league encounter last Friday. Youth Baseball and Softball Registration will take place Saturdays, Feb. 14 and 21, 9 to noon, or Wednesdays (Feb. 11 and 18) from 5-8 p.m. in the Marion Town Park. Registration is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Visit http://infosports.net/marionyouth/ or contact Larry Porter at 585.750.0056.
