Happenings Requests for the #5 cookbook from the Marion Legion Baseball team are coming in. Lots of yummy things to try. AUGUST 1, 1914: The proceeds of the Fourth of July celebration were $260 which will be shared equally by the band, firemen and library. Last week I attended the Reformed Women's Triennial in Orange County, California. 800 women from around the United States and Canada were in attendance. The conference was held at the Crystal Cathedral complex. It was exciting and inspirational. My roommate was Nancy, whom I met when we were in Sioux Falls, South Dakota three years ago. Her home is in Michigan, and it was wonderful to see her again. We are planning to get together at Chicago when the next conference is held in three years. (Our motel was across from Disneyland, where we got to hear all the fireworks during the evening events). Our #2 son is recuperating from hip surgery. Copyright
