Canalside music for Trails Day

Erie Canal Cultural Center, Inc. is sponsoring 'Notes Along the Erie' featuring musical groups in Macedon, Palmyra, Newark, Lyons and Clyde.

The Palmyra-Macedon Marching Band will provide music beginning at 10 a.m. The band will start in the Midlakes Erie Macedon Landing and end in Palmyra-Macedon Aqueduct Park.

A Newark Central School group, led by David Schwind, will be playing in T. Spencer Knight Park at noon. Arcadia Town Supervisor, Joseph DeSanto and Newark Village Mayor, Peter Blandino will be in attendance to dedicate the Canal Trail.

Lyons - 'Reflection' (a musical group featuring band members from Clyde, Lyons, Rose and Red Creek) will provide music in the Southside Canal Park beginning at 1.

School bands from Clyde will play in the South Side Park during the day.
