Antique Boat Show; sailboat rides

People can enjoy a one-hour cruise around Sodus Bay on board 18-foot sailboats with Sodus Bay Yacht Club members at the helm this Saturday, June 5 - all to benefit Hospice of Wayne & Seneca Counties. Boats will depart the dock at Sodus Bay Yacht Club (SBYC), on the hour, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with room for two or three 'guest sailors' on each boat. Tickets are reserved for specific times, and the requested donation is $20 per ticket with all proceeds going to Hospice.

'Sailboat Rides for Hospice' is being presented in conjunction with SBYC's annual Antique and Classic Boat Show. The day-long event features displays of runabouts, racing boats, sailboats, canoes, as well as an open house at the Club and on many SBYC members' boats. Coast Guard and fire department demonstrations are also scheduled during the day.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended to schedule rides for specific, preferred times. People with boat ride reservations must check in at the Hospice booth at SBYC 30 minutes prior to their scheduled departure. Children ages 8 - 13 must be accompanied by a parent/adult. (No children younger than 8.)
