Hospital golf tourney at Wayne Hills The ViaHealth of Wayne Foundation will hold its 13th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, June 14. The tournament will feature two golfing formats, held simultaneously at Wayne Hills Country Club. The two-format tournament gives golfers a choice of either the Best Ballor Scrambleformats. The tournament will support the programs and services of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. 'The evidence of the community's support shown by the Golf Tournament is very encouraging and helps us achieve our goals,' said committee member Tom Yale, Newark-Wayne Chief Patient Care Officer and Administrator of DeMay Living Center. Gold, Silver and Bronze levels of sponsorship, as well as Hole and Cart sponsorship are key to the tournaments success. They are all available to individuals as well as businesses. Registration and lunch at each location will begin at 11 a.m. and a shotgunstart is scheduled for noon. Included in the days events are a social hour at 5:30 p.m. and a dinner buffet at 6:30. Raffle prizes and the awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each site will be given out. There are also prizes for the longest drive and closest to the hole. The highlight of the tournament - Concord Ford Lincoln Mercury of Newark is sponsoring a Hole-in-Onecontest for a 2005 Ford Escape. Members of the golf committee include: Dan Barrett, J.D., Stuart Blodgett, Doug Doebler, Michael Jordan, M.D., Kathy Kline, Robert McFadden, Paul Murphy, Pradeep Saraf, M.D., Ren Weichbrodt, and Tom Yale, as well as Malcolm O'Malley and Marjorie Marcano. The Foundation is offering a special registration discount for their August tournament at Blue Heron Hills Golf Club to any of the June players who will be playing again on August 30th.
