Clyde Saxton Band Recently, a marvelous program of music, song, dance and band music was presented. John Spare sang, accompanied by Scott Kreyer. The ladies of the Canandaigua Downtown Tappers livened up the show. The Clyde Saxton Band, which has been organized since 1877, played and played filling in for a band which failed to show. Cheers and applause followed each band piece.

'Act 6,' the Salute to Servicemen and Women, was the Grand Finale. Bagpiper Mike Updyke (member of the Rochester Pipe Band) entered the auditorium of the beautiful Smith Opera House. Men and women each stood to be recognized, as their theme music was played and the flag denoting their branch of the service was marched down the aisle.

'Saluting our service men and women' was organized by Mary Welker, of Ontario/Yates Hospice.
