Docent training at county museum The spring Docent Training Class will be March 23, from 10:30-noon at the Wayne County Historical Society Old Jail Museum on 21 Butternut Street, Lyons. The Museum is seeking men and women who are interested in becoming Museum docents. Docents are volunteer teacher-tour guides who develop the skills necessary to interpret the Museum's permanent exhibits to school, scout, senior and community groups, and other visitors through guided tours. The docent course is a unique educational experiencs as well as an opportunity to get involved as a key volunteer in a fascinating Museum. There is no fee for this course. Call 946.4943 weekdays.
