'Crazy for You' this weekend at Marion

Crazy for You - a musical comedy filled with extravagant tap dancing numbers, cowboys and dance hall girls - will be staged at Marion High School. Performances are Friday at 8 and Saturday (March 13) at 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $8.

The show takes place in the 1930's and takes the audience from backstage of the beautiful Zangler Theater in New York to the run-down town of Deadrock, Nevada.

The show songs include They Can't Take That Away From Me, Slap That Bass, Embraceable You, Someone To Watch Over Me, and I've Got Rhythm.

Seniors Cody Gardner, Dannis Matteson, Ricky Gardner, Amanda Hill and Jeremy Hadley lead this year's cast.

Supporting roles are held b: Ricky Dean, Ryan Mulhern, Josh Messenger, Andy Gardner, Matt Hussey, Mike Voigt, Tim Delp, Steve Finley, Paul McCarthy, Joe Mabon, Erik Bardo, Garrett Pomerantz, Korie Baker, Alyssa Johnson, Nichol Fox, Courtney Grayson, and Annie Gordon.

The dance hall girls are Rachel Boerman, Amy Lau, Liz Snyder, Jane Bovet, Meredith Morse, Cara Thomas, Melissa Cummings, Katie McCullough, Cora Walker, Christina Driessen, Rachel Rose, Lindsey Wheeler, and Caitlin Snyder.

Female chorus members: Emily Boerman, Francesca Knowles, Katie Myers, Amanda Booth, Brianne Kreiss, Molly. Perry, Lauren Cummings, Sarah Mackey, Kristi Sargent, Erin Erb, Amanda Marone, Jessica Schoonerman, Christina Gonzalez, Stephanie Moran, Katie Wilder, Missy Green, and Katelyn Withey.

The show is directed and choreographed by Shelly West Thompson, and Ann Hettrick is the vocal director.
