Gatesingers to present 'Nunsense'

Nunsense by Dan Goggin will be presented at Gates Hall. 'We have assembled a dream cast for this show,' said director Nan Hanna-Paquin. In a madcap musical revue, the 'Little Sisters of Hoboken' raise funds to bury their fallen Sisters - unfortunate victims of a convent cooking accident.

These eccentric and endearing nuns prove there is a lighter side to being Catholic through a joke-laden script, lovely solos, rowdy production numbers and an evening of surprises.

Leading the ensemble are Ann Rhody and Cynthia Cuddeback. Rounding out the cast are Karen Nail, Karen Karnisky, and veteran actor/dancer/choreographer Jaime Prindle.

Tom DeWitte, organist for the Zion Episcopal Church in Palmyra and local musician, is serving as accompanist and musical director for the show. Choreographer is Jaime Prindle, with assistance from Hanna-Paquin; producer, Michael Mulberry; set design by R.L. Markham; set construction, Guy Paquin; lighting by Michael Mulberry and Kevin Karnisky; box office manager is Anne VanderByl; and costumes from Arlene's Costumer.

Performances are April 1, 2 and 3 at 8 p.m. and April 4 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the Gatesinger Box Office at 315.589.3326 or online at
