Drivers needed at RSVP

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is inviting people to help other senior citizens who don't have transportation or are not able to drive themselves.

The Volunteer Transportation Corps is in the process of recruiting drivers to transport seniors to appointments and to deliver Meals on Wheels. Area nutrition sites are also in demand for volunteers to transport patrons for the lunch hour.

If you are 55 or older, interested in driving for the Volunteer Transportation Corps, please contact Debbie Farnsworth, Senior Services Coordinator at 946.7530. If you have other interests or skills, please call for more information.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is sponsored by Wayne County Action Program and funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service and the NYS Office for the Aging.
