Sue Ellen Johnson and Al Dobbin

Newark Grange members will meet May 7 to plant a tree at 6 p.m. at the DeMay Living Center at the Newark Hospital. They are planting a lilac bush to honor Arbor Day.

Members will then proceed to the Grange building on Wood Lane for a potluck supper at 6:30. At 7:30 p.m., awards will be given to people with 50, 55 and 65 years of membership. A business meeting will follow.

The next Grange meeting is May 21 with refreshments served at 6:30 p.m.

Sue Ellen Johnson and Al Dobbin of Sodus presented a musical program on April 2 for Grange members.

Father and daughter shared a variety of songs which they both sang and played on their guitars. Dobbin played some favorite tunes on the harpsichord and harmonica, and shared the history of his performing career.
