Heritage Society will meet

Lyons Heritage Society will meet May 17 at 7 p.m. at the Hotchkiss Building on Water Street.

A business meeting is followed by a videotape featuring John Spellman, Savannah Town Historian. The video describes the making of glass at the Clyde Glass Works. Reference is made to the bottles blown for the Hotchkiss Essential Oil Company.,

Heritage Society will take part in the NYS celebration along the Erie Canal Trail on June 5. The Hotchkiss Building will be open for tours that day, from 10 to 3.

To prepare for the tours, any members of the Heritage Society who can help clean and set up are urged to arrive on May 17 at 6 p.m.
