Missing Sodus It's official - spring has sprung. It is so nice to see the leaves on the trees again. Unlike the birds who come back from the south, Betty and Ralph Everdyke don't make the mistake of coming back when it's chilly. News from Ralph and Betty: We had a pretty good trip home. Left Wednesday morning about 6:45 a.m. and arrived in Rocky Mount, NC about 5:45 p.m. No big trouble on the road except there was construction in parts of Georgia and South Carolina. Traffic was down to a walk pace at times. The funny thing was that we never saw anyone working. 681 miles for the day. Left on Thursday morning at 5:45 a.m. Stopped for breakfast at Doswel, Virgina and then drove straight home with just a couple of stops for gas and to stretch our legs. Arrived here about 4:45 p.m. 599 miles for a total of 1280 for the 2 days on the road. Was surprised that the temperature was about 70 degrees when we arrived here. Of course, the next few days made up for it with the cool temperatures and rain. Of course, if it doesn't rain again today, I will have to get out and mow the lawn. Haven't missed doing that for the last 7 months. Also the gas prices are higher here than in Florida and anywhere on our way up.
