Happenings Chicken and Biscuit Dinner - Marion United Church - Monday, May 24, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Take-outs available, homemade pies. MAY 24, 1912 - During the past week beautiful and costly memorial windows have been placed in the Presbyterian Church, which is nearing completion. The large front window is the gift of Calvin Rice of Chicago, in memory of his parents. It bears the inscriptions: 'Lyman Rice, 1811 -1860.' 'Mary A. Rice, 1820-1904' 'Don't lose your head to save a minute, you need your head your brains are in it.' The Second Reformed Church Basketball Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 12 at 10 a.m. You must pre-register by June 5. Registration forms are on the back table. This is an outreach effort to the area children as well as 'our SRC kids.' Come to St. Gregory's on Sunday, May 23 for a delicious Chicken BBQ. Take outs only. New time - 11:00 a.m. until gone. Cost $6.50. July 20 - Remember Showboat? An all-time favorite, this was our groups first trip. We went to Toronto to see it, but now we can see it in Auburn at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse! I'm already hearing that deep bass voice on 'Old Man River'! Lunch included.
