Authors will sign at museum

Two local history books will be signed by three authors on Saturday, November 6, from 1 to 3 at the Newark-Arcadia Historical Museum, 120 High St. Admission is free.

David Benjamin will give a program on the making of his book, East of Newark, West of Lyons: The Incomplete Book of Newark/Lyons Trivia at 2 p.m. Benjamin, of Rochester, will also discuss future projects. Books with new covers in color will be available ($9.95).

Back by popular demand, Beth Hoad and Sylvia Harding will sign their new book, East Palmyra Remembered: The Story of a Hamlet ($25). Hoad is the Palmyra Town Historian, and this is her second book.

The museum's current special exhibit, 'Curing and Caring: Hospitals, Physicians & Nursing in Newark,' will be open through March.
