Pet store is open in Newark

The only shop of its kind in Wayne County, Animal Odyssey is open in the Mini Mall East, opposite Colburn Park, Route 31, Newark.

Owners, Tracy Warren and Gordon Bogart, have two floors stocked with pets of all kinds, as well as pet supplies and pet foods.

Among the varied pets available for purchase are parakeets, finches, including lovebirds, albino hedgehogs, sugar gliders (flying squirrels) kittens, and snakes. Tropical fish are stocked in several aquariums.

Store hours are Monday through Friday 10-7, Saturday, 9:30-6, and Sunday 10-5.
