Tomorrow - Nov. 6 - Elementary School Learning Fair from 9 to noon

Nov. 10 - Fall Sports Awards at 7 p.m. at the High School

Veterans Day is November 11 - NO SCHOOL

'The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621 and lasted for three days.'

The Open House at the Leaning Barn will be November 5, 6, & 7.

Congratulations to Krystal Adriaansen who was selected as Wayne County Soccer Player of the Year.

Friends and family members came to the Marion Museum on October 25, to check on the 'outhouse' display. We had a few laughs and some remembrances of 'days gone by.'

Roast Beef Supper at the Marion Legion Home, on Witherden Road will be next Friday, November 12.

Get Well Wishes are sent to Bev Layton, from all her friends.

Happy Birthday to Liz DeLyser on November 9.

Clark and Helen Dingman spent a week in sunny Austin, Texas. They visited daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Randy Ellis, grandchildren Tarra, Kenzie and Devon. They went to the homecoming football game and saw their granddaughter perform as a cheerleader for the home team, who won. Son Stephen from San Antonio came to the game and visited with the family. On Saturday, a birthday party was held for Devon who turned eight on Oct. 24.

Volunteer at Marion Food Pantry in 2005, Thursday from 6-7 p.m. or Saturday 9-l0 a.m. once every 6 to 8 weeks. They will work around your schedule. Please call Bill McAvaney at 926.5309. He's waiting to hear from you!

The United Church of Marion, 3848 North Main Street, will present The Gingerbread Bazaar on November 13 from 9 to 3. Reuzelbollen and coffee will be served from 9-11 a.m. and lunch will be from 11:30-1:30 p.m.

A New You Salon, 3987 Buffalo Street, Marion, will hold their Holiday Open House on Saturday, November 6 from 9-5 p.m. Call 926.1166 for more information.

Display a ribbon and support the troops. 'Support Our Troops' and 'Pray For Our Troops' magnetic ribbons are available for $5; $2 from each ribbon sold benefits military families through the National Guard. Call St. Gregory's at 926.4323.

Habitat for Humanity Progressive Dinner will be Nov. 6 beginning with appetizers at 6:15 at St. Anne's, then moving to Western Presbyterian for salads, soups and breads, finishing with desserts and teacup auction at Macedon Center UMC. $10/person. Experience the country charm of an old-fashioned Christmas at The Hen House Country Store, 6165 Richardson Road in Williamson, will be holding a Christmas Open House November 12, 13 & 14 from 10 to 5. Refreshments, door prizes and a free gift with purchase. The store will be closed November 8-11 to prepare for the event.
