Book signings in Newark today

Two local history books will be signed by three authors today (Saturday, November 6), from 1 - 3 p.m., at the Newark-Arcadia Historical Museum, 120 High St. Admission is free.

David Benjamin will give a program on the making of his book, 'East of Newark, West of Lyons: The Incomplete Book of Newark/Lyons Trivia' at 2 p.m. Mr. Benjamin, of Rochester, will also discuss future projects. Books with new covers in color will be available ($9.95).

Back by popular demand, Beth Hoad and Sylvia Harding will sign their newly-published book, 'East Palmyra Remembered: The Story of a Hamlet' ($25). Beth is Palmyra Town Historian. This is her second book.

The museum's current special exhibit, 'Curing and Caring: Hospitals, Physicians & Nursing in Newark', will be open through March.
