Cadettes help Cracker Box Palace

Sodus Cadette Girl Scout Troop #561 spent their first meeting of the year completing a community service project.

Around the apple crates are Renee Ludden, Ana Abkarian, Sami Beckens, and Rachel Masser. Standing are Jessica Jonasse, Kayla Case, Nicole Wahl, and Ashley Briggs.

GMB Beckens Farms donated bushel crates and apples to pick to fill the crates. Once the apples were picked and in the crates, they were delivered to Cracker Box Palace at their new home at Alasa Farms in Alton. The girls met with Bert Madison (who runs the Palace along with Cheri Roloson) and he helped unload the apples. Bert thanked the girls for their donation and then gave them a tour. The scouts had a lot of fun with the bunnies and especially enjoyed meeting 'Pete the Pig.'
