Humane Society plans dinner, sale

You just have to attend the Humane Society of Wayne County's Annual Pasta Dinner and White Elephant Sale on Saturday, October 16, from noon to 7 PM, at the Palmyra Fire Hall. (Route 31 in the town of Palmyra)

The ALL YOU CAN EAT delicious pasta dinner (with or without meat) includes salad, Italian bread, a beverage, and choice of special desserts. All of these confections are prepared especially for you by the members of the Humane Society of Wayne County Board of Directors. Dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m.. Eat there or take out.

Browse the used books and many bargains, then fill your tummy!

Tickets are on sale NOW, at the shelter, from any Board Member, and at the door. $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Help is always needed. If you are interested in volunteering please call either Marge Laws at 395.986.4320 or Carol Williams at 315.331.3527. If you are interested in donating your special dessert creation, you can drop it off at the Fire Hall on the morning of 10/16, or call Carol or Marge to arrange for pick up.

WANTED: SMALL CLEAN ITEMS for our White Elephant Sale to be held October 16th. To make our sale a success we need knick-knacks, stuffed animals, glassware (no plastic please), books, puzzles, videos, CDs, Christmas decorations, and jewelry - small sale merchandise. Please help! Leave your donations at the Shelter or call Stephanie Cooper at 315.589.9111. (Note we cannot accommodate large bulky items, such as furniture and lamps.) No clothing please!
