At the Marbletown school
By John Zornow

The Arcadia Historical Society will hold an open house at the Marbletown Centennial Schoolhouse tomorrow, October 16, from 1 to 4.

This Family Fun Day will include a spinning demonstration by Hazel Herdman, pumpkin painting and wood crafts by Glenn Young.

At 2 p.m. the Arcadia Historical Society, owners of the rural school that closed in 1947, will partner with Newark's Kelley School teachers and students in the 'adoption' of the one-room school house by the fourth grade classes. A short ceremony will turn the school over to them for educational and field trip purposes.

The Arcadia Historical Society has been busy over the past few months refurbishing the building, located at the 'four corners' in Marbletown.
