Changes to Scouting for Food in Sodus

The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in Sodus have made some major changes to how they will organize Scouting for Food in Sodus this year. In the past, they delivered a plastic bag to you one week, and returned the following week to collect the bag that you filled with non-perishable food. In order to streamline this effort and make it easier for everyone, the following changes were made for this year:

On Saturday, November 6 and 13, the Scouts will be set up in front of Patron's store from 9 to 3:30. There will be a Scouting tent in the parking lot. Customers will be encouraged by Scouts to buy a little extra for the needy as they enter the store. While you shop for your family, please pick up some non-perishable foods for the food pantries, and donate it to the waiting Scouts as you leave the store. All the collected food is delivered to local food pantries that give the food to families in need and crisis during the year. The people of Sodus have been so generous with other community activities in the past...Scouting is asking you to keep up the effort.
