Regrants available for arts & artists

Need money for the arts? Then come to the Wayne County Old Jail Museum, 21 Butternut Street, Lyons, on Wednesday, October 27, from 4 to 6 p.m.

This session is for anyone interested in applying for a NYSCA arts-in-education regrant to support partnerships between artists and schools.

The ArtSmart Regrant is a local arts-in-education funding program administered by the Smith Opera House Organization. This program is funded and supported by the Local Capacity Building Initiative of the Arts-in-Education Program at the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and is part of a statewide effort to provide local support for widespread arts-in-education participation.

Grants will support partnerships between schools and individual teaching artists or cultural organizations. Eligible projects will involve a direct collaboration between at least one classroom teacher and one teaching artist and will focus on integrated study of the arts and non-arts subjects.

Light refreshments will be served. Call 946.4943 or e-mail info@waynehistory.org to register for this free program.
