Halloween Party Sunday at Newark Legion

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 286 will be hosting their annual Children's Halloween Party on Sunday, October 31, 2:30 to 4 at the August Mauer Post, 200 East Union Street in Newark.

All kids up to age 10 are invited to enjoy games, treats, and other fun surprises. Halloween safety tips will also be presented. Dress in costume and join the fun.

The Auxiliary Children and Youth program's main purpose is to assure care and protection for the children of veterans and to improve conditions for all children.

The Children's Miracle Network, The Child Welfare Fund and Halloween Safety are activities that fall under this program.
