Cemeteries are the topic

The September History at Night program at the Wayne County Old Jail Museum will be 'Cemetery Symbolism.'

The program will be given by Joe O'Toole, new executive director of the Wayne County Historical Society.

Set to begin at 7 p.m.on Tuesday, September 7, the program is a slide presentation showing headstones and monuments and explaining the meaning of the symbols incorporated into the design of the stonework. There is no charge for the program and refreshments will be served.

Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Historical Society at 946.4943.
