Register for the K9 2k Run and/or Mutt Strut 2004 to be held Sunday, September 19, at Silver Hill Tech Park, Route 88, Newark. The K9 2 k Run starts at 10 a.m. with the Mutt Strut starting at noon. Come on out and spend the day with 'Man's best friend.' Find out why some people prefer the company of their dog to some humans! There are goody bags for all runners and walkers. Be one among the first 100 people to pre-register and get a Zanies Berber dog toy. All participating canines will receive an official Mutt Strut 2004 bandana. A matching long sleeve official Mutt Strut T-shirt will be given to all humans bringing $25 in paid donations on the day of the walk. Awards will be given to the fastest human/canine team completing the K9 2k Run. And prizes will given to the three human/canine teams raising the most money for Mutt Strut 2004. All registered participants will be entered and eligible in the drawing for some really nice door prizes to be given away at 2 p.m. You and your dog can elect to walk a 1, 2, or 3 mile course to raise money for the Humane Society. There are plenty of rest and water stops along the way. As you stroll along, visit our many interesting sponsors. Perhaps your four-legged friend would like a mini-groom from Barb Crawford, of Clip and Cuddle, while you receive a chair massage from Sodus Say Massage Therapy. After you have worked up an appetite, relax on the lawn and enjoy a delicious chicken dinner from Burnham's Red Rooster. Get your second wind and dance to the live music of the Local Shepherds. There is a $10 registration fee with a maximum registration fee of $20 per family. You must be registered to participate. Registration forms are available at the following locations and online at The Humane Society of Wayne County:
