POW/MIA event planned for Friday

Lt. Col. USAR Fred Pirelli is planning a ceremony, with the Veterans Council, remembering Lt. James A. Marshall of Newark (MIA) and all other POW/MIAs.

The ceremony will be Friday, September 17 at 7 p.m. in Newark's Central Park. The opening prayer will be said by the Chaplain of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #2883.

National Anthem will be sung by Bruce Bowman.

Guest speakers include Fred Pirelli, VFW Commander Norm VanDemortel, American Legion Commander Post #286, Corky Ridley. Closing prayer will be said by the Legion Post Chaplain.
