Fall Rabies clinics

In cooperation with Lyons Veterinary Clinic and Walworth Animal Hospital, Wayne County Public Health set dates for Rabies Clinics for pets.

A $5 donation is requested to help defray clinic costs, but no one will be denied vaccination for their pets due to any inability to donate. Dogs must be leashed and cats/ferrets confined in some type of carrier to prevent escapes and injuries.

  • September 27 - Galen Highway Garage, 7-9 p.m.
  • September 28 - Wolcott Highway Department, 7-9 p.m.
  • September 30 - Walworth Highway Department, 7-9 p.m., Canandaigua Rd, Walworth
  • October 2 - Lyons Maintenance Facility 2 - 4 p.m.

Note: The site for the Lyons Clinics has been changed and is now being held at the new Maintenance Facility, just down the road from Lyons High School.

For more information please call WCPHS at 315.946.5749.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • That State Law now requires that all DOGS, CATS, and FERRETS over the age of 3 MONTHS be vaccinated against rabies.
  • That substantial fines may be imposed on pet owners who do not vaccinate their pets or keep rabies vaccination current.
  • That pet vaccination for rabies has proven to be the single most important step we can take to prevent the spread of rabies.
  • That if your pet has contact with a raccoon, skunk or bat and is not currently vaccinated your pet may have to be confined for a period of 6 months?

BE SMART, BE SAFE.

VACCINATE YOUR PETS AGAINST RABIES!!
