Clyde girl signs college letter

Haleigh VanFleet, a guard from Clyde-Savannah High School, signed a letter of intent to attend Daemen College on a basketball scholarship.

VanFleet was first-team All-County and seventh team All-State. She averaged 14 points, six rebounds, and eight assists a game in helping lead Clyde to a 21-4 overall record and a second straight Section 5 title.

Daemen is located in Amherst, and is a member of the American Mideast Conference and the NAIA. They have won back-to-back AMC North titles and are 53-11 over the last two seasons.
