Happenings 'Boy, Dan, did it rain!!! Right into our basement!' We were treated to the Dutch Dinner at the East Palmyra School. Delicious! Don't miss it next year. Saturday, at a presentation in Gates, I met a woman who was looking for privy building instructions - she already had the hole dug. Hank and Pearl Ververs of the Marion Road, entertained 12 family members for Easter dinner. Their granddaughter, Kristin was recently picked as Princess at her school in Hannibal, at the Winter Ball. It's April - time for tree planting. Hope that will include our bare Marion streets. Do You Remember - All the girls had ugly gym uniforms? There were three wagon shops in Marion. One of them which was on the site of the Marion Canning Factory was owned by a Mr. Eisentrager. Another was owned by John Wolf and was on the south side of Buffalo Street. The third was at the site of the Second Reformed Church - run by James and Brainard Curtis (see photo).
