Mentoring group begins in Lyons

Lyons Central School District is the first in Wayne County to offer a school-based mentoring program. A total of 34 students in the 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th grades are involved. Seventeen high schoolers are matched up with 17 elementary schoolers and they meet every Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. Their special time together is filled with fun, educational activites. In September, this group will be nominating other students to enroll in this program. Hats off to Lyons students for being involved in such a wonderful program.
