May Day dance & supper

Peacework Farm invites everyone in the community to a May Day Party, Sunday, May 1 from 2-6 p.m. at the farm! At 2 o'clock, there will be dancing around a May Pole, an ancient ritual to assure fertility for the coming season; no dancing experience required.

At 2:30, Lyons librarian Leona Lauster will lead a wild flower walk in the woods where the trillium will be in bloom. NYC singer-guitarist Marly Hornik will entertain at 3:30 and talk about the dangers of Genetically Modified Organisms.

At 4:30, there will be a potluck supper. Please bring a dish to pass and a place setting. The farm will provide drinks. For more information, call Elizabeth at 331.9029. Peacework Farm is on Welcher Road, Arcadia.
