Sodus CROP walk next week

The Sodus Council of Churches is sponsoring the CROP walk for hunger on May 1. The six-mile walk will begin at the Church of Epiphany with registration at 1 p.m. The walk will begin at 1:30.

Sponsor forms may be picked up at local churches, Paton's Marketplace, or Lessord. Get friends and neighbors to sponsor you. Children under 6th grade must be accompanied by an adult. No bicycles, roller skates, roller blades, or skate boards. Water will be available along the route and refreshments will be served after the walk at the Church of Epiphany.

Although most of the funds collected will be used for Church World Service in overseas disasters relief and sustainable development programs. 25% of money raised will return to Sodus Nutrition Center and the Sodus Point Food Cupboard.

CROP walks are a team effort putting caring into action.
