Absentee ballots ready for Lyons Library Lyons Public Library Trustees will present the proposed 2005-06 budget on May 2 at 7 p.m. This meeting is open to the public. Absentee ballots must be picked up by Monday, May 2 at the library and returned to the library by 2 p.m. on May 3. For more information, 946.9262. A copy of the budget may be picked up at the library. The vote will be May 3 from 2-8 p.m. at 67 Canal Street. Three library trustees will be elected. Five people are vying for the three open seats. They are Martha Dodson of Gristmill Drive, who currently serves on the Library Board as the secretary, is a current member of the Friends of the Library and formerly worked for the Canandaigua Wine Company, Ann Bohner of Layton Street Road, who was a Lyons Elementary School teacher for 28 years before retiring and a past treasurer for the Friends of the Library as well as a current member of the Friends, Edson Ennis of Thompson Station Road, who is President of the MacIntosh Company of Lyons, Margrette Nolan of Route 14, who is a retired Lyons school bus driver and a member of the Friends of the Library, Michaelene Wojtkowski of Broad Street, is the addictions counselor at the County Correctional Facility and is a member of the County Historical Society. Copies of their biographies and position statements may be picked up at the library. To vote, you must be at least 18 years old, have been a resident of the Lyons School District for 30 days prior to the vote, and be a United States citizen.
