Joshua Patricio Rojas10 year old dies suddenly

Joshua Patricio Rojas, 10, of Irondequoit, died suddenly on April 26, 2005 after soccer practice. His parents are formerly from Newark, and his grandparents reside in Newark. He was a student at Iroquois Middle School in West Irondequoit. School counselors are at the school helping students deal with the sad news.

Josh was a member of the Irondequoit Pee Wee Wrestling Club, the Irondequoit Soccer Club and Irondequoit Screaming Eagles.

He is survived by his parents, Patricio and Kristin (Stevens) Rojas, formerly of Newark; his sister Katrina at home; his paternal grandparents, Patricio Sr. and Carmen Rojas of Newark; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Rosemarie Stevens of Newark; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call Friday, April 29 from 3-7 p.m. at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home, 1717 Portland Avenue (corner of Ridge Road East). His funeral Mass will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church. Interment will be in Irondequoit Cemetery.

Memorials in Josh's memory may be sent to a favorite charity.
