Motorcycle run to help Red Cross The Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Wayne County Motorcycle Club are presenting the first annual Ride For The Red motorcycle fun run to benefit local disaster relief operations. The ride will be August 14 rain or shine, and will depart from Bee-Tee's Drive In on Route 31 East in Newark. Registration starts at 10, and the ride will start approximately at noon. The ride will be around 80 miles or so and conclude at Tommy's (145 Railroad Avenue) in Newark, where there will be an auction, raffle, and live band. The cost of the ride is $10 per rider or $15 for a rider and a buddy. The first 100 riders that register that morning will receive a commemorative 2005 Ride For The Red bandana. Several businesses have donated items for the auction and raffle including the Drag'ns Den in Newark, Crooked Pines Golf Club, and Jay's Body Shop in Macedon.
