  Visit the Marion Senior Booth at the Wayne County Fair, August 15-20.

Strawberry Shortcake Sale, sponsored by the Marion United Church, will take place at the Marion Auto Show, August 21, at Marion Town Park.

Mildred Leenhouts is a patient at the Strong Memorial Hospital.

Lillian Cherrier has graciously donated a set of five audio cassette 'Good Old Days' tapes. Titles include: Down On the Farm, Planting, Patriotism, Summertime and Harvest.

Be a Foster Grandparent

Wayne County Action Program is recruiting new volunteers. Open to seniors 60 or older with limited income who are willing to give their time to children who need extra attention in their everyday activities. Call 946-7530

Carl and Angelica DeVries had a baby girl, Angelique Marie DeVries, born August 3, weighing 6 lbs. 3 oz. Proud grandparents are Bill and Helga DeVries in Florida.

September 10 is the Habitat for Humanity Bike-a-Thon. A 12-mile family route along the canal and 40 mile route will wind through the countryside past the newest Habitat house site in Newark. Rides start at Macedon Canal Park, registration starts at 8:30. Contact Phil Klinger, 597.3543 for pledge sheets or more information.
