Auto show Sunday at Marion Park For the first time, two automobiles made in Wayne County will be shown at the car show sponsored by the Wayne Drumlins Antique Car Club. The show will be August 21 at the Marion Town Park from 10 to 4. The Mora Motor Car Company, a firm that built cars in Newark from 1906 until 1911, produced the historic vehicles. The 1908 Browniekar is a one-cylinder gasoline powered car designed and built for children. Produced in 1908 and 1909, the little car never gained popularity and few were produced. The car you'll see is one of three known to exist. The other vehicle is a 1909 Mora Tourer. A large six-cylinder car, it was an expensive car built for the wealthy. The Tourer-6 model was available in 1908 and 1909, and was too expensive to gain mass appeal. The car to be shown in Marion is the only one known in existence. Both cars are from the collection of Steven and Pamela Heald of Sodus. The Wayne Drumlins Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) holds their show annually at the Marion Town Park on the third Sunday in August. Admission is free. Copyright
