Women played lacrosse in Czech Republic

Gannon University's three All Americans, Mindy Richmond, Lauren Bevington, and Joanna Caulkin enjoy a stroll down the streets of beautiful Prague, Czech Republic.

As members of the US Athletes International lacrosse team, they competed against European teams in a four-day tournament. For the first time they faced language barriers, changes in game rules, and competing against professional players on the Czech team.

The US women's team finished second and Richmond was named Offensive MVP of the tournament, having scored 24 goals.

The 2001 Newark High graduate earned her degree in Biology at Gannon University, in Erie, PA. She finished her senior year with a school and national season record of 88 goals and became Gannon's all time leading scorer with 219 career goals.

She resides and works in Erie. She will be assisting in coaching Gannon's lacrosse team and sets her sights on returning to Athletes International Australia Cup next summer.
