First Friday at county museum The First Friday at the Museum series continues September 2, at the Museum of Wayne County History, 21 Butternut Street, Lyons. 'Captain Jack & Rhino' will be performing live from 5-8 p.m. Hot hors d'oeuvres, cool beverages and museum tours will round out the evening. Captain Jack & Rhino have been performing regularly throughout Central and Western New York at clubs, county fairs, and private parties. Captain Jack, a triple threat on harp, slide guitar, and sax, performs with many local and national acts including Joe Beard. Steve 'Rhino' Keon (formerly of Certified Groove) provides the rhythm on bass as well as lead vocals. The band is based in blues, but the duo is experienced in a variety of musical backgrounds including rock and jazz. Although Keon holds a degree in music, the band has been educated at the School of Musical Hard Knocks, which shows in their collective years of live performances. On any given night, you may find the band performing songs of Paul Butterfield, Otis Rush, The Temptations, J. Geils, Willie Dixon, B. B. King, Albert & Freddie King, Bad Company, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Allman Brothers, Robert Cray, SRV or Santana. First Fridays at the Museum are made possible in part through a generous grant from the Robert G. Boehmler Community Foundation. Admission is $5, which includes food and drink.
