Missing Sodus
By Melissa White

angelmgoodcooke@yahoo.com

Well, I finally got my Christmas decorations all up outside. Nature gave me another warm day to do the lights so I wouldn't freeze. (Now, she's having a good time blowing all the things all over. Putting things up once is fun but after a while doing it over and over gets old.

We receive Greetings from the Old Sodus Point Lighthouse:

'We hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving Day. We appreciate this opportunity to tell everybody about the Christmas season illumination of the Sodus Lighthouse Museum. Though the museum is closed, until May 1, the exterior of the lighthouse will be adorned with festive lights. Best of all, with kind permission of the US Coast Guard, the 1825 Fresnel lens will be magnifying from our 1870 lantern room from December 10 to January 5. The light will shine from dusk to approx. 11 each night. Take advantage of this opportunity to view this rare sight. This is the only time of the year when the lantern can be lit. Until then, we wish you all a very peaceful, happy and memorable holiday season to come!

Warm regards, Bradley D. McCreary ( Museum Director SBHS)'

Have a great week and enjoy each other's company, no matter what you are doing. Sharing a bowl of warm popcorn with the family, watching a Christmas movie sounds like an idea.
