Free Sawyer concert in Wolcott

They've finalized the song list for the December 11 Sunday Concert at the First Presbyterian Church of Wolcott.

Jeff Sawyer, along with Kelley Loveless, Matt Vacanti, and national performing artist Dan Duggan, will present delightful music in the holiday tradition. This free concert is being brought to you by the Wolcott Area Chamber of Commerce.

If you have attended the annual 'Afternoon with Jeff Sawyer' concert before, you already know what type of entertainment to expect. Sawyer is an accomplished musician and has taught private piano instruction for over 15 years. He owns and operates a successful recording studio, along with writing music for a national children's show currently aired on PBS and the Learning Channel.

He has also written and produced many local and regional commercial jingles and album releases including several children's projects for Merry-Go-Round Playhouse children's theatre.

Kelley Patchen Loveless started singing at age seven in her junior church choir. In high school, she continued to sing in choirs, while bringing her vocal skills to New York State Solo Competitions, All-County, and Select Choirs. After completing her college education, she joined local country artists, The Robert Bromley Band, where she sang lead and back-up vocals. She performs at wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Matt Vacanti is a member of the Syracuse-based jazz group, ESP, and the Orchestral Director for the Fulton High School. He was honored with teacher of the year in 2001 for the Fulton School District. He will be playing acoustic bass during the Jeff Sawyer Concert.

Dan Duggan, national touring performer and teacher, is rapidly being acknowledged as one of the finest dulcimer players and composers in the country. He is an accomplished guitarist, and has recorded four albums of original compositions.

This free Christmas concert is from 3-5 p.m. The shops along Main Street Wolcott will be open from noon until 3. Reserve a few hours of your hectic, busy life for some beautiful holiday music and shop before the concert.

The Presbyterian Church of Wolcott is located on West Main Street. The snow date for this concert is December 18.
