Lyons Scouts have Lock-In The Lyons Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scout Troops spent a fun-filled overnight 'Lock-In' together. The evening started off with an Awards Ceremony where everyone received their Badges and Patches. The Daisy Troop 'Bridged' to Brownies. Bronze and Silver Awards were given to some older Junior Girl Scouts, who are also moving on to Studio 2B. There were plenty of activities to keep the girls busy. Some were creative group oriented games such as hoola hoop, straw and cotton ball game, and the plunger game. Educational programs sponsored through The Seven Lakes Girl Scout Council were two EFY (especially for you) programs titled 'Hanging out' and 'Hooking up.' Playing Spiders and Herbal Cosmetics were two BEEC Programs offered, that the girls enjoyed. The girls also made ice cream which they devoured with their make your own sundae bar. They made 'swaps' and sang karaoke into the wee hours of the morning! Come morning they had breakfast, then were on their way home to tell their parents all about their exciting and educational night and to get some Sleep! All the activities that the girls did help them work on either Brownie Try-Its or Junior Badges and for Girl Scout Patches. Adults or girls ages five and older may phone Laurie Long at 946.6146, about getting involved in Girl Scouts.
