Christmas Eve at St. Michael's

The St. Michael Church Children's Choir has been preparing for Christmas Eve Mass. The group includes second through seventh graders from St. Michael School, Perkins School, Kelley School and Newark Middle School. The children rehearse weekly under the direction of Laurie Williams, accompanied by Barb Rathbun.

The children will perform prelude music prior to the 4 p.m Christmas Eve service.

Soloists include Julia Bailey, Ashley Farley, Alison Hoe, Grant Howard, Olivia Howard, Bethany Kommer, Megan Kreuser, Carla Lash, Noreen Myer, Marina Ruffalo, Courtney Schultz, Jenna Taylor, Krista VerMeersch, Colleen Voigt, and Kelsey Williams.

The choir will sing Mary Did You Know, Sing a Glad Noel, Peaceful Silent Night, Born 'Neath a Star, and 'Twas In the Moon of Wintertime. Choir alumna Meghan Smith is returning to accompany the group as flutist.

These young singers will lead the congregation in all of the service music, and favorite hymns O Little Town of Bethlehem, Away in a Manger, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, and Joy to the World.

Other singers include Brianna Adkins, Gabrielle Demitry, Anthony Diamond, Emma Mason, Taylor Palermo, Alexandria Powers, Jesus Rodriguez-Ramos, and Brittany Williams.
