Stop at the Museum Dec. 24 and 31

The Newark-Arcadia Museum (120 High Street) will be open both Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve, from 1 to 3 p.m. Winter hours in 2006 will be Saturdays, 1-3 p.m. The museum is located across from the library; admission is free.

Exhibits include 'Arts & Entertainment in Newark' and 'Newark in World War II,' along with displays on Newark tinware and enamelware, Spiritualism, Jackson & Perkins Co., C.H. Stuart Co., Newark medical and drug store history, milk bottles, Civil War artifacts, Newark High School, downtown photographs and more.

The museum gift shop includes a variety of local history-related items, as inexpensive as $1.

The museum is open by request at other times other than Saturday from 1-3 p.m. 331. 6409.
